Taras Litvin
– Certified Instructor
Sifu
Taras Litvin started his Martial Art training in 1991 in L’viv,
Ukraine. In 1994 he immigrated to the United States to attend
college at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
After
a long search for a martial art school suited to his philosophical
liking, he became a student at the Wah Lum Kung Fu Athletic
Association in Chinatown in 1995. Once he established himself
as a student he became a member of the Demo/Competition Team
performing around the New England area for Chinese New Year
and other Community Festivals.
Sifu
Litvin also attended numerous local, national, and international
tournaments winning many medals and accolades for his hard
work and dedication. He became a member of the instructor
program at the Association, working with students of all age
groups, encouraging them to work hard and challenging them
to reach their personal bests as martial artists of the Wah
Lum system. In 2004 Sifu Litvin was among the Boston instructors
certified by Grandmaster Chan to help continue spreading the
Wah Lum traditions. He now resides in Berkeley, California.
Sifu
Litvin has a BS from the University of Massachusetts and currently
is studying Optometry at the University of California at Berkeley.
